Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' were released for this Pongal and proved to
be the blockbusters of this year. Both the movies succeeded in crossing
the mark of Rs.50 crores share each in their full run.
And now, this is the turn of Young Rebel
Star Prabhas' 'Mirchi'. Having received positive buzz from all the
corners, the movie collected Rs.7.67 crores share on the day one of its
release. By the end of day two, the movie collected Rs.10.01 crores
share in just AP alone. As per the reports, the movie collected Rs.3.50
crores in Nizam area. Having collected Rs.1.20 crores share on day two
of this area, proved that the movie is racing ahead to acquire the
status of blockbuster. The movie was sold out to around Rs.2 crores in
East Godavari area. The film collected Rs.86 lakhs for two days. By the
end of its first week run, the movie is likely to collect Rs.1.80+ share
in this area. "So, the movie can get break even in the second weekend
itself," say the trade sources. Anyways, the movie has good number of
chances to settle as the third blockbuster of this year, as no
opposition movie is in race for few days.
Prabhas’s Mirchi Day 2 Collections Report
Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s Mirchi had fantastic Day 2 all over the state. The film saw a very minimal drop across the state and collections were steady across the territories. Some territories like Krishna, Nellore and Nizam were fantastic if one considers the Day 1 to Day 2 drops.
